There is no noise or rattling when the drive is spinning, but I can't get anything off of it since it can't be mounted, or see much of anything. It as been infected with some virus... There's one method you can have a try. Initially I was able to access the drive using a USB boot drive using Linux. weblink

First all, thanks y'all for all your contributions. but there are like 100 41.9gb's showing .. In the BIOS, Boot to USB devices is disabled. this content If so and especially if this is Windows XP, you will need to resolve the SATA/RAID controller drive problem before you can complete the Windows installation.
After several minutes of this, it just stops spinning. because...i started to run the Win XP CD and in the initial Setup there was no Drive partition displaying..after i restarted the Machine it was like the HDD Disappeared. A data recovery service may be your only hope. It will only operate if one of these brands of drive is found in the system.
