There were many, many installs and restarts during this process, causing a variety of problems and errors. However, last week I bought a brand new 1.5TB drive. I'm on Lucid 10.4, no other OS installed, Toshiba laptop that up to now has had no problems with the last two versions of Ubuntu. I have tried reinstalling grub a couple of times (one to the mbr on sda and the other to sdc) however the error 25 was present after both attempts. I've tried booting off of the ubuntu cd I used to load it initially with no luck.
