I now have GE5 up and running, with some problems. 1. installed perfectly in /opt/google-earth/ but, it runs well if if I run [emailprotected]/opt/google-earth$/sudo googleearth then root password. Linux is great! I have a Wubi installation, if that makes a difference.

You're the bomb dude, thanks! -Steve Carson There is a simple way to resolve the problem: 1 Put the router (or modem) OFF 2 Open Google Earth 3 Go to “TOOLS” The issue was that Google Earth was a 32bit application running on a 64bit platform and it was unable to resolve the DNS names that it needed. Some letters do not appear, instead there is a > blur where they should be. For example, a, s, u among others.
